Our mission is to counter negative cultural influences that misdirect the lives of youth by raising awareness and strengthening families through innovative prevention programming, education, parental engagement, mentoring and counseling. Community Engagement Coordinator Overview

The Community Engagement Coordinator will serve as a vital link between our organization and the communities we serve, fostering positive relationships, promoting engagement, and facilitating effective communication with parents. This role will involve collaborating with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to support program initiatives, enhance parent involvement, and strengthen our impact.


Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to promote awareness of our programs and services.

· Serve as a representative of our organization at community events, meetings, and functions, effectively communicating our mission, goals, and initiatives.

· Collaborate with community leaders and partners to identify needs and opportunities for program development and expansion.

· Coordinate outreach efforts to engage underserved and marginalized populations, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in our programming.

· Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and outreach strategies to increase program participation and community involvement.

· Conduct outreach activities such as community presentations, workshops, and information sessions to educate the public about our programs and services.

· Provide support and assistance to program participants and their families, connecting them with resources and services as needed.

· Facilitate parent engagement activities, workshops, and events to foster strong relationships between parents and our organization.

· Collaborate with program staff to assess the needs and preferences of parents, tailoring engagement activities to meet their interests and priorities.

· Develop and maintain communication channels with parents, keeping them informed about program updates, events, and opportunities for involvement.

· Implement effective parent communication strategies, including newsletters, emails, phone calls, and social media, to keep parents engaged and informed.

· Collect feedback from parents to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify areas for improvement.

· Maintain accurate records of parent communication, including correspondence, feedback, and outcomes.

· Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with community members, stakeholders, and parents.

· Stay informed about community resources, trends, and issues relevant to our organization's mission and goals.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, communications, or related field preferred.

· Previous experience in community outreach, engagement, or related roles.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.

· Knowledge of community resources and services, particularly those serving underserved populations.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

· Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.

· Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation may be required.

· Bilingual proficiency may be preferred, depending on the community served.


Pay Range: $45,000-$59,000. Pay is commensurate with experience.
